Soft Tissue Treatment

ACCELERATE HEALING AND REDUCE RECOVERY TIME FROM SOFT TISSUE DISORDERS AND INJURIES

One of the most common treatment options we use is:

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a method of treatment directed specifically towards soft-tissue repair, remodeling, and regeneration. IASTM utilizes ergonomically-designed stainless steel instruments to discover areas of scar tissue and fascial restriction following soft tissue trauma or injury (typically resulting from repetitive strain, acute trauma, surgery, or immobilization).

The instruments are then used to treat these areas by breaking down scar tissue, releasing fascial restriction, and improving soft tissue function (flexibility, mobility, and strength) with proper remodeling of fibrosis and scar tissue. This provides for a superior therapeutic option for soft tissue injuries, especially when used in combination with joint manipulation and exercise designed to correct biomechanical deficiencies.
